Our sustainability approach
ESG & Compliance at SITS
Our sustainability approach
Sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate strategy. We are actively committed to responsible business activities and align our processes with international ESG standards. In doing so, we focus on:
- Climate protection & resource efficiency: optimizing our environmental performance through targeted measures such as the use of green electricity at most of our locations and external assessments such as EcoVadis.
- Social responsibility: promoting diversity, inclusion and fair working conditions.
- Ethical business practices: Ensuring transparent processes, compliance and corporate responsibility.
Our assessment by EcoVadis
At the end of 2024, the SITS Group was audited for the first time by EcoVadis, one of the world's leading sustainability assessment platforms. This assessment is based on documented evidence and analyzes the environmental, social and ethical impact of our business practices. EcoVadis evaluates companies across all sectors on the basis of standardized criteria and supports them in transparently documenting and continuously improving their sustainability performance. The rating covers various non-financial management systems and evaluates companies individually according to their size, location and industry.
How the evaluation works
The EcoVadis assessment is based on a scorecard with points from 0 to 100, which is used to check our progress in the following four areas:
- Environment: Sustainable operations.
- Labor & human rights: Fair working conditions, diversity and inclusion.
- Ethics: Corporate responsibility, anti-corruption measures and compliance.
- Sustainable procurement: Promotion of responsible purchasing practices and consideration of environmental and social aspects when selecting partners and materials.
Our result:
With 66 points, the SITS Group once again ranks among the top 35% of evaluated companies and clearly exceeded its previous year’s score of 61 points. As a result, SITS was again awarded the Bronze Medal in January 2026 – an achievement we are proud of.
Our current results show both our strengths and potential for improvement, which we are addressing in a targeted manner in order to further optimize our sustainability strategy for the future. The EcoVadis recognition page can be found here:
