LeasePlan is an internationally leading company in fleet management, leasing services, and used car sales. After being acquired by a major French leasing company in May 2023, it manages over 1.5 million vehicles and employs more than 12.000 people worldwide.
The focus is on the highest standards of data security and compliance – not least due to the banking license and the associated regulatory requirements such as NIS2, GDPR, and the demands of the European Central Bank. The transition to a subscription-based business model and the continuously growing volume of data posed additional challenges.

The Challenge

Identity and Access Management on a Global Scale.
LeasePlan faced the task of building a secure cloud data platform that is “secure by design”, can be flexibly expanded, and meets the highest requirements for security and compliance. The complexity: different countries, numerous applications, high regulatory requirements, and a strong focus on data security.

A partner was sought who not only delivers technical solutions but also actively shapes change management, communication, and acceptance within the company.

Implementation

From Architecture to International Rollout: Partnership for Success.
SITS|Traxion supported LeasePlan in planning, introducing, and rolling out SailPoint IdentityNow and CyberArk in 30 countries for over 12,000 employees.

In addition to technical implementation, a focus was placed on change management: drop-in sessions, clear communication, and close collaboration with specialist departments ensured acceptance and sustainable anchoring. A total of 70 applications were integrated, all important administrative accounts were securely stored in CyberArk, and the ECB’s compliance requirements were met.

The collaboration was characterized by flexibility, proactivity, and a partnership approach – SITS|Traxion acted as part of the team and actively contributed its experience.
